The ECBC (Enterprise Cape Breton Corporation) GIS Portal provided a consolidated view of properties owned and managed by the Canadian crown corporation. It featured the property histories, related assets and documents, paired with additional geographic data.

AG Research (now Scotia Logic) performed and provided the following services:

• Business Analysis of the required system
• Data access control design
• Development of the system – this included importing and integration of data available in legacy systems and new technologies and workflows
• Integration of ArcGIS server for the mapping components with custom controls
• Spatial re-projection, data merging and manipulation were required by AG Research to incorporate new and legacy data from MapGuide
• Development documentation including technical specifications, workflows, business rules, and help documentation
• Post-development support
• Ongoing development for industry changes and performance enhancements
• Secure hosting
